Wineart with tradition.
The RABL winery is a family run business: While Rudolf Rabl senior is primarily responsible for the vineyards, Rudi manages cellar operations, business management and marketing. The division of tasks has not only allowed growth in size, but also an increase in wine quality and thus reputation.
The wine region Kamptal is located 60 km west of Vienna and offers a unique microclimate and diverse soils with a multitude of minerals. Excellent soils are essential for producing top-quality grapes. The vineyards – Käferberg, Schenkenbichl, Steinmassl and Steinhaus – are some of the best primary rock soil vineyards in and around Langenlois. The deep loss vineyards Spiegel, Dechant and Kittmannsberg are of the same high caliber.
The wine range is clearly structured: the basic wines are light and fruit driven for immediate drinking pleasure. V.O. (Vinum Optimum) stands for medium rich wines made from selected grapes (old vines) for food pairing. The single vineyard wines are named after their terroir of origin and have a great ageing potential. Approx. 20% of the wines are red wines.
The winery Rabl was awarded two times “White Wine Maker of the Year” from the International Wine & Spirit Competition (IWSC) in 2019 & 2021.
