The Vintner’s Wine Box
Grapes – vineyards – philosophies
Where are you from? This is a question we often ask when getting to know someone. It’s no different with wine, and with good reason. Where does this wine come from? What makes Austria special as a wine country? Which winegrowers work here, with which grape varieties and under which climate? What’s a specific soil’s contribution to the taste of a wine? How do vintners treat their vines and vineyards, what is their philosophy? It’s the answers to these questions that make the difference and they define what we like to call “terroir”. The Austrian vintners are committed to producing high quality, pure and typical wines. More and more of them work in a sustainable and organic way. Whether “classic” or “avant-garde”, the range of exciting discoveries is immense. Let us embark on a journey of taste!
